Amsterdam to Saarbrucken Germany

Hello fellow travelers,

I have a business trip in April to Saarbrucken, Germany. Most direct flight for me is into Amsterdam, then going to rent a car. Seems I have a few options for motorcar siteseeing between the two cities (attached photo).

Any recommended options for a day trip? I have some flexibility to add a day on either end of the travel around the business to stay somewhere else too.

if you do the north south component on the A61 instead of the A1, followed by the A63 into the A6, you will pass KL - Kaiserslautern. There is a very good Japanese Garden just off the Autobahn - I enjoyed it very much.
