Just wondering if anyone has purchased this travel pass from the airport recently? If so where do I go to buy it?
I have seen vague or conflicting info online, so any help would be appreciated!

Can you please share what conflicting information you’ve seen? The Amsterdam tourist information website https://www.iamsterdam.com/en lists all the places where you can buy the Amsterdam &Region Travel ticket, including the ones at Schiphol.
I recently discovered and downloaded the GVB (Gemeentelijk Vervoerbedrijf, the public transportation provider) mobile app for my android phone. (GVB travel app in the Google Play Store)
It allows you to purchase tickets from 1 hour to 5 days of travel, download them to your phone and check in and out of the bus/tram by using the bar code. It also includes a route planner from here to there, a departures timetable, list of disruptions, sites nearby to your location and even tickets for attractions.
Of course, it assumes you'll have access to a phone or other device, but boy is it smooth. For example, right now I plugged in Schiphol Airport to Museumplein and 8 possible departures popped up costing 3.56 to 5.15 Euros. It would be handy, I think, for figuring out if the daily travel pass was worth it.
