Can anyone tell me if the open markets and cafes/restaurants are generally closed on Sunday's? We want to do a self-guided walking tour. Thanks!
Closing on Sunday isn't a thing in Amsterdam. In fact most of the major museums are open 365 days a year; not even closing on xmas day.
Thank you Michael. Good to know, especially since we want to experience the various markets.
You're welcome. If by market you are talking about street markets like the Albert Cuypmarkt, then sadly that one is indeed closed on Sunday. But everything else will be open regular hours: cafes/restaurants/shops/tourist sites.
Yes, that is what I meant. Appreciate the help!
