Amsterdam hotels-questions

I am using American Express to book a room for June (since I'm using points, I have to stick with their hotel list); I've about narrowed a hotel down to possibly: Hotel V Frederiksplein, The Albus, NJ Amsterdam Schiller, or possibly the Royal Amsterdam Hotel-Restaurant. All comments are greatly appreciated.

NH Amsterdam Schiller used to be my go-to hotel in Amsterdam until they refurbished it and tripled the prices. Be warned, it is on the Rembrandtplein, so it kind of like being in Times Square in that it is surrounded by giant neon billboards in a quite lively neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants and partyers.
The Royal Amsterdam Hotel is also on the Rembrandtplein. The Albus is a couple of blocks west of the Rembrandtplein, so still busy. The Hotel V Frederiksplein is inside the Singelgracht in a much mellower neighborhood and a tram line in front of the hotel.

Thank you so much; we looked at the Hotel V F was also a consideration; we may book that one instead. It would seem that many do not have air conditioning....is this the norm? Not having ever traveled to this part of the world, we need all the guidance we can.

High end hotels will have air conditioning. Email the hotel if you want to be sure.

Boogaards B&B . . . check it out on TripAdvisor. The location is great, the owner is so helpful with directions, maps, recommendations, and he's an amazing cook.
