Has anyone stayed at the Dikkter & Thijs hotel in Amsterdam? Please provide positive / negative experience. Staying at this hotel with the Rick Steves tour for 2 nights. We are staying an additional 3 nights in Amsterdam on our own and trying to decide if we just stay here or is there another hotel that you would recommend.

I haven't stayed there, but have seen it from the tram. It is on a very busy street ! I don't know how good the soundproofing is in their windows.
I like to stay at the De Ware Jacob boutique hotel when I am in Amsterdam. It is on a quiet side street near the Museumplein. A few minutes' walk from the #12 tram that goes directly to Centraal Station, and an even shorter walk to a bus that goes between town and Schiphol airport.
Availability anywhere for this April will already be scarce. Decide and book asap. Have a great trip!
I have not, but it gets good ratings on Booking.com (a site where only those who have stayed at a property can leave a review). I agree that you should book something as soon as possible, as you may not even be able to book rooms at that property at this point.
