I am looking for a good hotel that is in the city. I am hoping to find one that is under $150 night or close to that. Not fancy but clean. I will be there May 11-13. Any ideas will be helpful.😄
Which hotel 15 minutes out of town?
Our last hotel was about as nice as any hotel we've ever stayed in--http://hotelschiphol.com/
It's on the motorway just past the airport, and their courtesy car will take you to and from the airport terminal where you can catch the train into the center city in 12 minutes.
Our room was incredibly huge--with 3 leather couches. And the price was right.
As i said on another thread, kinda like a weekend in New York City, but staying in Secaucus. You might have to double your budget. That time of year, there is a good chance there is a major event in town. Or maybe look at staying in Haarlem. Still plenty of Dutch character and about 20 minutes away on the train.
Okay, here is another strategy that worked great for me. I used priceline and entered a 4 star in the museum district. I paid around $100 a night at a great hotel (Hotel Vondel) and could not have been more pleased. It is 1 block from the express bus stop from the airport. The tram station is 2 blocks and a grocery store is around the corner. It was a 10 minute ride on the tram to central station and an easy walk to the museums.
Hi Diana, I stayed at Hotel Brouwer a few years ago it was just right. It is close to the railway station and on a canal.
Hi Diana,
We've booked a 3 night stay in Hotel Nadia, I chose it mainly for the location and the price. They don't have an elevator or AC. Reviews on TA were fairly positive.
