This pass seems like such a great deal compared to other transit passes, only 29,50 euros. Does anyone know if this pass will cover any of the following: 1. Round trip City Center to the Zaanse Schans via bus #391? 2. One-way trip City Center to Airport? 3. Any canal boats? Are there other limitations to this GVB pass that I might be missing? It is only valid on bus, tram and metro run by the municipal public transport company GVB.
For the Zaanse Schans you must take the train or a regional bus run by Connexxion.
There is a GVB bus going to Schiphol airport, but it probably won't be practical for you. Better take the train from Centraal Station.

It is only valid on the transportation operated by itself.
Note the answers in the official link given above.
The trains are operated by NS - the answer is no.
