It will be grey, very cool and rainy so plan according. Then again the sun could shine. If running, the Historic Triangle day trip out of Horn is great day trip including an early 1800s steam train, a cruise, and finally a stop at the Zuiderzee Museum. This is an open air museum. It is a bit quick for all of the sites but a tremendous overview of that whole area. It is all day trip and well covered in Steves' Amsterdam guide book. We would do it again if we have the opportunity.
