Good morning from Amsterdam!
This is my 3rd time in Amsterdam and I have this afternoon free. I am staying at an airport hotel so easy access to the train. It is Sunday so looking for your insight on where to spend an afternoon. I am thinking of Haarlem.
Any suggestions?

Haarlem would be a great place to spend a relaxing day. I stayed there in 2018 for 6 nights and found lots to do. Flamboyant, a restaurant there, served fantastic rijsttafel dish. Corrie ten Boom house and the Frans Hals Museum are both worth a visit. Interesting laid-back town!
I like Leiden more than Haarlem - the local art museum (De Lakenhal) has recently been refurbished and is located relatively close to the Centraal Station. There's also a great exhibition on the seventeenth-century painter Pieter de Hooch on in Delft (contemporary of Vermeer), which might also be worth visiting!
