If you're seeking recommendations for specific hotels, we really need a nightly hotel budget in euros. Information on specific requirements is also very helpful. Many small, atmospheric hotels in Amsterdam may have no elevator and quite steep/scary staircases. Please also tell us the month of the stay, because that can greatly affect lodging rates.
Lodging in Amsterdam is quite expensive, by the way.
