Any advice about the large shipping containers turned into artist studios/galleries/installations in the Noord? Not much in Rick's book but the little I've heard has sounded intriguing. I can't even figure out where these are once you cross on the ferry. And there are 2 ferries - which one to take?

The ex-NDSM area has student housing, restaurants, some buildings turned into startup spaces, make-shift cafes, and a large studio/atelier hub.
They also have some trendy-ish restaurants like Brooklyn/Plek (info from mid-2017, haven't been there since).
You take the NDSM ferries, the trip takes 15 min or so. No charges.
