Has anybody stayed at the Ambassador hotel recently? How was your stay? My family (kids 3 and 6) are planning on staying there in late July, but some online reviews mentioned that some aspects of the hotel were a little shabby and that there are some ongoing renovations. I don't necessarily have a problem with shabbiness, but I'd rather avoid construction noise if possible because of my kids. I'd love to hear any thoughts people have, and thanks in advance!

If you don't feel comfortable about the reviews, I would book elsewhere and not look back.
If you have trouble finding a hotel consider renting a house through VRBO or Homeaway or Air BnB.
Prices are competitive and your little ones will have more room.

We stayed there about three years ago on a RS tour. The location was perfect. We had a great stay. The rooms were nice and the people so friendly. I would stay there again.

Have you tried contacting the hotel directly to ask when would the renovations be completed? I've been in hotels that were renovating, usually work is done during daytime when most guests are out. Never early morning or evening.
