Any suggestions? My 18 yr old son would love to see an Air-Space-Flight museum and it looks like there is one about 40 min outside city limits. I am just wondering if anyone knows about this - whether it is a good museum, best way to get there from Amsterdam, etc. TIA.
You speak of the Luchtvaartmuseum Aviodrome? I’ve never been there, but I looked it up since you brought it to my attention and since I’m an avgeek. I would go there in a heartbeat. If you can’t find someone here who has been there, there are many Google reviews, and many of those have pictures to help you know what is there. Heck, I would go just to walk through, around, and under the 747 in their collection.
Yes. I know nothing of it, but my son has tickets for a concert there. Thanks for the input. I have kind of wondered, but he is excited and adamant. Now we have to figure out transportation.
oh -- oops. I mixed it up. Yes, re museum. It looks way cool. Just need to figure out the logistics.
The museum is near Lelystad north-east of Amsterdam. I visited it, think over 15 years ago, but remember enjoying it. The collection is extended in the meanwhile like the 747 wasn't there at the time and still in service. If you are interested in aviation it’s worth visiting to my opinion even it’s not the best.
I also visited the Bataviawerf in Lelystad, where a historic sailing ship was under construction and another already finished. Sadly due to lack of funds the construction has stopped. It looks that it’s nowadays part of themepark Batavialand and think much more children orientated. Nevertheless remains interesting for adults too, however not really sure about this, so contact them for more info.

You can buy combined tickets online for both musuems. Best is taking the train to Lelystad Centrum and from there the bus to Batavialand. Maybe to Aviodrome too or otherwise a taxi.
Thank you!
