After Amsterdam, Haarlem, Utrecht - Where to spend a weekend?

We're staying in Haarlem for one week with day trips in the surrounding area and into Amsterdam. Our second full week will be in Utrecht.
Suggestions on where we should spend a Dutch weekend of June 30 - July 3. We are open to exploring other areas of the Netherlands. We want to stay in the country as we have traveled to Germany and Belgium. This is our first adventure to the Netherlands.
We are quite sporty travelers and would like to include a local 5K run if possible. Suggestions please.

For something different you could try the area east of Zwolle (Dalfsen or Ommen) or Zutphen (Lochem). Nice landscape and those cities along the River IJssel (including Kampen and Deventer) are pleasant and interesting in their quiet provincial way.
For something totally different you could try one of the Wadden islands, with Texel the easiest to reach from Den Helder. It will be top season, so don't wait too long with reservations.

Hi Kim,

You might consider a short (75 - 90 minute) train ride to the Nijmegen/Arnhem area. Lots of WW2 history (A bridge Too Far) as well as an awesome national park and open air museum where their is a wonderful collection of paintings by Van Gogh.
