My 21 year old daughter is finishing up study abroad in Florence and has a few days before reporting to an au pair job in the English countryside. She's squeezing in Amsterdam but concerned where to stay, not wanting to do hostel on her own.
Any hotel recommendations that aren't too expensive?

Most hostels have private rooms as well as dorms. She might look into that.
I was there five years ago and stayed at an AirBnB In the De Pijp neighborhood, and loved it there. It was a single room in the house of a married couple who were so incredibly nice.
