Aalsmeer Flower Auction on departure day

We are staying in central Amsterdam. On our check out day, our international departure is at 3pm. Is it feasible to see Aalsmeer Flower Auction on the day of departure? We don't have a car, so will need some sort of transportation, and we will have carry on size luggage with us. Aalsmeer is near the airport, but wondering about leaving luggage with our hotel and going back to get pick it up and then returning to airport, though It seems really inefficient. Any other suggestions or options? I haven't been able to find out if there are luggage lockers at the airport or if there are any other options we should consider.

Our RS Tour will be visiting Keukenhof Gardens in lieu of Aalsmeer, and I don't know that there is time to squeeze Aalsmeer in during free time on any other day of the tour.

I know RS is a big fan of the Aalsmeer flower auction, but if I’m honest I don’t understand why. Especially now that the bidding is done online for the most part. You can no longer see the traders bidding against each other, as they now all sit at home behind their computers.
Yes, there will be lots of flowers but you will have seen lots of flowers in the Keukenhof already.

If you have your heart set on visiting, you can do so of course but you will need to get up very early. Very very very early, because most of the activity takes place between 7am and 10am. So before that time you will need to check out from your hotel, travel to Schiphol, drop your luggage in a locker and take the bus to the auction.

Thanks Dutch Traveler, for your thoughts.
We specifically chose the tour that included Keukenhof over Aalsmeer, so are very happy to be visiting the gardens.

I agree with Dutch_Traveler. I visited Aalsmeer on a Rick Steves tour many years ago and it was just ordinary. You are in a huge warehouse-like building, with carts of flowers being wheeled around. The fragrance of flowers was wonderful but that was it.
