A New Question About Schiphol Airport

Hello fellow travelers. We will be flying from Tanzania to Portugal in June on KLM, with a layover in Amsterdam. Our original plans gave us two hours to make the transfer. We just got an email from KLM, changing our flight time and leaving us an hour and twenty minutes between flights. Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't we be flying from a non-Schengen country to a Schengen country and thus having to go through passport control? Does this mean that our one hour and twenty minutes is probably not doable?

Thanks for your wise advice.

You will have to go through immigration. It's a tight connection (50/50 IMO), are both flights with KLM and part of the same reservation? If so they can put on a later flight if you miss the connection.

Yes, luckily both on KLM on the same ticket. I will look at later flights to be prepared if we miss our connection. Thanks!

Plug in your flight info and see what the process is.

The minimum required transfer time at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is 40 minutes for Schengen flights and 50 minutes for non-Schengen flights. Please note, though, that if you travel to a non-Schengen country, you’ll need to go through additional security and passport checks. This could increase your required transfer time.
