Hello:
We're are staying in Holland for four nights on our way home to USA from someplace else.
We are thinking of spending 2 nights in Delft and two nights in Amsterdam.
However, we are also dreaming to taking the 2 1/2 hour or so train ride to Bruges, instead of Delft. We know it is a trek, but we love Bruges.
We have been to all these places before.
What do you all recommend?
Thanks. We are going at the end of March.
Well, you will be there at Easter, and the beginning of tulip season. Are either of these events important to you?
If you’ve been to Amsterdam, Delft and Bruges before, why don’t you try out some place new? For instance Leiden, Haarlem, The Hague or Utrecht? In Belgium you could visit Antwerp, Mechelen, Ghent or Brussels.
There are a good 100 or more fantastic old Dutch towns or cities that you could combine with Amsterdam.
I vote for trying out a new one of those that is convenient, close and easy to get to.
We plan on beginning or ending 14 days in Europe in the Netherlands in April 2025. We want to see the tulips in bloom (April), but will have 3 nights. My last visit I stayed in The Haag, next to the train station. Any recommendations for getting further out into the country and still having good train or tram access? Amsterdam was too busy for me.
