Hello,
I have a 23 hr layover in Amsterdam on my way to Delhi. I reach there by 3:30 pm and fly out the next day at 2:30 pm. Any tips on how to spend time there. I am contemplating if I should change my flight and buy some more time in Amsterdam. Any recommendations? Are 23 hours enough to do a quick tour of the lovely place?

Amsterdam is worth more than 23 hours. If you can, change your ticket and stay longer.
It seems to me that you'd reach the center of Amsterdam at about 4:30/5 at the earliest and have to head back to the airport at noon at the latest?? You wouldn't really have much daylight, depending on time of year. You could do RS walking tour of Amsterdam, possibly catch dinner at a place overlooking a canal. Maybe a canal boat tour in the morning? I'd try to find a hotel very close to the train station so that you are in city center for touring and so you can quickly get into and out of town. I think I would try to add another day to your layover if not more.
