I understand i should take bus 858 from the airport to the gardens. There seems to be 2 ways to get to the airport - Bus 397 from Leidesplein or the train from Amsterdam central station. Which is better/faster/easier? thanks sue

Where are you staying? If you are near Leidseplein, then that would more convenient. If you are staying near Amsterdam Central Station, that would be more convenient and probably faster.

You don’t need to go to the airport to catch a bus to The Keukenhof. Keukenhof express busses also depart from Amsterdam, from Europaplein/RAI.
