hey hey GG
when is this trip & how many is "we?" i'm not much of museums either, just roaming around. any mobility issues?
where you staying near and any other interests, (food tour, history & architure, canal ride, walking tour, bike rides) your time is short, i would stay in the city.
best for me may not be best for you. i'll gather my own stuff we did and send you after your answer

I agree with princess. It would be helpful to give us information on how many travelers there are, when you are doing, and what you like to do. History buff? WWII interests? Street markets? Foodie?

If you're really unsure, it might be good to look at an Amsterdam guidebook to see what is there and what holds your interest. Then when you get a few specifics, come back here for more definitive answers. :-)

What made you decide to visit Amsterdam? What’s there that interests you? You are here during the blooming of the tulips, is that something that you might like to see?
May I suggest to you to read a guidebook and/or check the website of the Amsterdam tourism info https://www.iamsterdam.com/

hey hey GG
with your time being short, here's a few things to check out:
foodhallen.nl
a warehouse full of many foods of amsterdam
albertcuyp-markt.amsterdam
pedestrian only with blocks and blocks of anything and everything with many market stalls
haarlemcanaltours.com
take a train to haarlem and enjoy, if time
lovers.nl
canal cruise around amsterdam, we did a day private canal cruise and also a nighttime cruise which was really nice to see all the lights
thisisholland.nl
enjoyed, like flying over the netherlands sitting on chairs like in a movie
localbus.nl
countryside tours, look at what they offer
electric-lady-land.com
museum of fluorescent art, something different
amsterdamfoodie.nl/ indonesian restaurants/rijsttafel
small dishes of many food items to share, it was great (spicy & not spicy)
freedamtours.com
"the free walking tour" showing different areas of the city
tasteatlas.com
49 "best" desserts in netherlands
keukenhof.nl
you are there during tulip season, book the bus and visit to enjoy the gorgeous fields. chance in a lifetime
amsterdamtulipmuseum.com (prinsengracht 116)
we walked through the shop, bought a cute souvenir (porcelain dutch shoe painted with tulips), loved this place.
rembrandtplein plaza "square"
loved this square, many shops/restaurants, people selling their wares under tents, having picnic on lawns, music, people sitting, relaxing and people watching. just be prepared you will smell marijuana all over, they sell it in coffee shops,
holland casino
friend and i stopped in toe play slots, was near dam square. it was fun and we laughed & laughed cuz him & i love the slots
discoverwalks/amsterdam
look what they offer
you've got some research to do with what you're offered. just some ideas i saved, we've been twice. it's gorgeous. one thing to be very careful of is BIKES BIKES BIKES everywhere, don't run into them or they run into you. you'll see some 3-4 story parking garages just for bikes, what a sight. just enjoy the sites and have great times, we did
