10 hour layover in Amsterdam Airport

Travelling and arriving to Amsterdam 11 am Wednesday 5/18 have a 10 hour layover in Amsterdam Airport and like to visit the city. Does it worth doing this and how and where should I go? What is the possible transportation?

Trains go every 10 to 15 minutes and take 15 to 20 minutes. Easy to do and give you enough time to get through security and still have 6 to 7 hours in Amsterdam.

I agree. I often feel like just staying in the airport during a layover as it's too difficult and laborious to get into town. But even I think it's easy in Amsterdam. Easy ride into the city center and you walk right into the charming city. Definitely worth doing.

KLM is starting a new program where anyone with at least a 6 hour lay-over can meet with a local for a short tour. It runs till May 31 but may be continued if it is a success. The website is : luxurylaunches.com/travel/discover-amsterdam-with-a-local.

Having more than six to seven hours layover in Amsterdam I always went to the city. Just to walk around, have coffee and take a canal cruise.

You are arriving in Amsterdam at 11:00am and have a 10 Hour layover, yet in your other post you say you arrive in Geneva from A'dam "late afternoon". Have you perhaps miscalculated your layover time?

Thank you. Now could you clear up the confusion from your other posts about leaving Moscow for Azerbaijan and Rome for the USA on the same day, 31/5.

Or go to Haarlem for a smaller city/large town super chill alternative. Even just to ride the train out and back is an experience, you see amazing things from the train! For sure do NOT sit in Schipol that whole time, even though its a lovely airport.
