My husband and myself spending a week in Amsterdam (never visited) from September 4the to Sept 11th
What are the best sites to use for booking?
we like using VRBO or Air bnb
need a
place with kitchen etc (a flat to ourself)
we love the city life, but like it quiet at night
we love walking, visiting the museums, walking the canals,
and will like to be able to walk to restaurants and museums
but not totally against using buses/trains
so looking for a fun place
any suggestions and information will be most appreciated

We stayed in Haarlem on this apartment although I rented it through Booking.com. (Booking.com does not feature it any longer.) We loved the location, especially, and the apartment was quiet despite the location. We were there in early Sept of 2017, by the way. So easy to get to Amsterdam (get a train pass) and GREAT restaurants in Haarlem.

In Amsterdam, we prefer to stay in the Central Canal Ring area. Beautiful, traditonal, what you think Amsterdam will look like.
