We will be in Rotterdam for 4 days pre cruise in May 2026. I am looking for any recommendations for central Rotterdam. Thank you.
We also took a cruise from Rotterdam last year.
We stayed at 2 hotels, one before and one after after our cruise.
The first hotel was the New York Hotel which was converted from the Holland America Line’s corporate offices. It was just a very short walk to the pier. Fun hotel with nice breakfast and a restaurant for dinner.
When we finished our cruise we stayed at the Motto by Hilton Rotterdam Blaak. This hotel is a converted bank. It was very well situated and kinda interesting. The rooms were fine.
Breakfast was included but they gave you a euro amount and you choose from their limited selection. anything over the allotted euros you had to pay. A first for us.
Also, there was a restaurant in the lobby called Pesca. It was very strange - you were assigned a person who first helped you pick out your fish, then it is weighed for pricing, then you are told how it will be cooked. Then you are seated to await your masterpiece. The food was good but expensive.
If you put this hotel in booking.com and map it, you can see what other ones are nearby then go from there. We were able to walk everywhere from this location. The train station was close too.
An FYI, make dinner reservations on the weekends. We didn’t and had a hard time finding someplace to eat. We ended up eating Thai food.
The above Search may provide helpful info. Have a wonderful trip!
