Linden Hotel in Jordaan? Any reviews from the folks on the board?

I am so sorry, but I cannot tell you about the Linden Hotel. We were in Amsterdam in July and got a reservation thru AirBnB at Agnes B&B in the Jordaan. The location was good, but the B&B was not a real B&B. It was truly the WORST place we have ever stayed in during our 43 years of travel. We were able to check out, get a refund for the unused days and found a reservation with Hotel Keizershof. Hotel Keizershof was NOT in Jordaan, but it was near a transit line and we walked to many of the museums. We found the Jordaan to be colorful but noisy. For what it's worth, in order to get our money back on our AirBnB reservation, we had to get AirBnB on the phone and get the host to agree to release us from our remaining nights. Our host warned us of 'mice' but we think she actually had a rat problem. The doorknob didn't work on our door, we had to turn the 'boiler' on in the kitchen in order to have hot water, and there was very low light in the bath & hall.

I have yet to use AirBnB. Have you had success with it other than Amsterdam? I reserved a room at the Linden, based primarily on cost comparisons and favorable TripAdvisor reviews. We'll see!
