Amsterdam hotel in May

My husband & I stayed at the Ibis Central in June 2022. It is right next to Central Station, so it was easy to find and we could either walk or take the tram everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms are small, but that's to be expected in most European cities. I think the price was around $150/night, possibly a little more. I felt safe and would have been comfortable staying there on my own.

I like XO Hotel Park West. It is a little bit further out but there is a tram stop (literally in the parking lot of the hotel) that gets you to Amsterdam Central Station in twenty minutes. My husband and I stayed there in October, 2019 and we very pleased with it. The room was spacious and very clean. I was going to go back with two friends for a girl's trip this spring, staying again at XO Hotel Park West, but due to various reasons, we have postponed that trip to next spring. There is a restaurant inside the hotel, but they don't serve alcohol.

We've stayed at the Hotel Jakarta before and are staying there again in October; it's about 3-5 minutes from Central Station and there's a bus that stops a block from the hotel to get you to the station. Great place, fabulous breakfasts.

Consider the Monet Garden Hotel....very clean rooms, comfortable and decent size and the staff are very helpful and kind. There are places to sit and sit or socialize in the lobby, and there is a bar and a restaurant for breakfast. It's not in the most picturesque part of Amsterdam (which I think contributes to its reasonable price), but there are grocery stores around the corner, restaurants and lots of public transportation options around Waterlooplein.

Thanks for all your suggestions. Unfortunately, none of them were available for our dates. We found availability at The Lancaster Hotel. I think it will be a good choice for accommodations and location, plus there's a 15% discount for booking on their site.
