We are landing in Dubrovnik and are thinking of renting a car and driving to Corfu and back/ ANy advice will be appreciated. It seems that one must go quite a bit into Greece and backtrack to the ferry to Corfu.

It would make a good 3 to 6 day trip thats for sure. With all there is along that route, I'd make it longer. I do know a guide in the area that I suspect could set you up with a car and driver. I would guess about $150 to $200 a day. Spend a night in Ulcing, and a night in Vlore at the least. Take the ferry at Sarrande. Then from Corfu you can fly someplace.
Great trip.
Hi Allan, We also made this trip about a year ago. We rented a car in Montenegro and drove from Tivat to Sarande. The trip took us about 12 hours, much longer than google said. Then took a ferry from Sarande to Corfu - I think it took about an hour. On the way we stayed overnight in Vlore, Albania which has a nice seaside promenade. There's also a national park close to Vlore. It's called Llogara National Park, and is very nice. I hope you have a good trip.
