We would like to travel to Montenegro after our RS tour. Suggestions for best transportation option. Don't need a tour just transportation to get there.
We did a day trip from Dubrovnik. When we checked into our BnB, we asked the owner if she knew anyone who could arrange a one-day car rental. Oh yes, she could. 10 minutes later, she had arranged a one-day rental car from a friend. We met him at the nearest city gate the next morning, signed some paperwork, chatted for a few minutes about the details, he handed over the keys, off we went. It was great. Driving was easy, parking was a little tricky but no more than in any old European city, and we spent the whole day in Kotor, climbed the wall, had a fabulous time. Drove back to Dubrovnik, called the car guy on the way to set up our rendezvous, handed him the keys upon arrival. Easy, fun, not expensive, it was perfect.
We have friends meeting us in Kotor so won't be returning to Dubrovnik and we would rather not rent a car. Unsure if hiring a driver or just taking a bus would be best. Looking for someone who has done either

How long are you staying and do you want to go anywhere other than Kotor? If so, I'd rent a car, but the bus schedule above will get you there and back.
Was typing same time as you. Only reason to not take the bus would be if you wanted to stop anywhere.
If you're thinking to travel there between May 25 and 28, maybe we can team-up on a rental, a driver/guide, or similar plan. I was just logging onto this forum because I'm considering cutting Montenegro. It seems like too much for us since the buses will go out, but not come back in the same day. You can send me a PM if you want to follow-up. :)
We did a bus trip from D to K. Easy fast and without problems. I think it was about 2 hrs from D to K.
