We are hoping to take a day trip to Kotor. We are thinking of a private car guide or a small bus tour.

A day trip to the Bay of Kotor is certainly nice. A day trip to Kotor the town .... after having been in Dubrovnik can be a bit of a let down for many. Although they do have the cable car now and maybe thats just what was lacking.....

When we visited Croatia, we hired a private driver to drive us around the Bay of Kotor for a day. We stopped in Budva, Kotor, and Perast.
The company we used is Dubrovnik Driving Guide, and the owner is Julija Antunovic. Julija was not available the day we planned to go to Kotor but she recommended her colleague, Stjepan, who was wonderful. Julija reached out to me a year or so ago to thank me for recommending her company, and she told me that Stjepan no longer works for her. But I still wholeheartedly will recommend Julija and her company. She is very professional, and she always responded immediately to my emails. I first heard of her from Trip Advisor.

You know, when you do one of these long day trips where you leave early, get back late, fall into your bed and then wake late the next morning; consider returning the next morning.
