Spending two nights on Kotor Bay in Oct. Just can't decide on which town offers the best views of the bay.
Coming from Korcula and Dubrovnik I dont want to be in the old town. Want to be on the water, with a great view that will still have light in late afternoon?? Too much to ask?
Have found great places in Muo, Dobrota, on either sideof Kotor and Perast. Need guidance.
I can't answer your question, but the bay is large and irregularly shaped (check map). There are many views to see ser. I think the best view is to be had while traveling around the bay--as long as you aren't driving.
Dobrota. Picturesque boutique hotels right on the water and you can walk to Kotor's Old Town (not a short walk, but it is walkable). It's the perfect meet in the middle between bustling Kotor and sleepy Perast, both physically and figuratively. Palazzo Radomiri is beautiful.
I liked the view from Perast. With the church towers on one side facing against the mountains and the lake - it's a scenery that reminds me of Hallstatt (with a slight stretch of the imagination).
