Hi, Eddie from LA, will be staying at the HYATT KOTOR BAY for the last 3 nights of our 19 day trip in JULY thru Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia.
I figure that at the end of this trip some good R&R are in order but would like to get some thoughts on some surrounding towns would be worth a visit? I do have a rental car for all days. I know its all about interests, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, first time to these countries.

To be honest, if you want R&R, just do that. There’s not much relaxing about driving yourself through the towns along the coast. Interesting but not relaxing. Maybe look for a day tour to Cetinje and Lovcen or a wine tour. I love Perast but parking can be difficult.
With regard to visiting surrounding towns, here is some info that you might find helpful.
There is a road that will take you to the towns of Njegusi and Cetinje that has wonderful views of the bay. But it is a road you may not want to travel if you or any of your party have a problem with heights or are prone to motion sickness.
It's known as the P1 road. It goes up (or down) the side of a mountain and has about 25 numbered 180 degree switchback turns and probably 75 other sharp turns. There's a rock wall on one side and nothing on the other. Although it's probably a rare occurrenc, we saw several folks throwing up on the side of the road. But, large tour buses do travel this road so it's not mission impossible.
You can go to bing.com, use the map feature, and see aerial views of the road. Googlemaps.com. will also allow you to check it out. Mr E's post above has a link that has other links that will lead you to several videos of the road.
As stated above, the views of the bay from the road are spectacular and it's a good drive if you can handle it.
Just food for thought so you don't inadvertently find yourself in a bad situation.
The P1 is fun. https://youtu.be/QSz5hZVNxQ8?si=i6mf60trXiIypLHS Despite appearances it is a two way road.
