Zurich to CDG to US

I forgot - if flying on a single ticket with a transfer through CDG, do you have to go back through security or just passport control? Arrive at 2F and need to transfer to 2E for flight to U.S.

I think both. But don’t recall exactly (flew through CDG in April).
