ZTL citations

I was in Cortona in May. Five months later I received 2 citations for ZTL violations. I'm trying to pay them but my bank wants phone numbers for the beneficiary bank which doesn't seem to be on the form. Any idea how I can get them?

I tried to follow the traffic rules and am not sure where the violations were. I had two 80 yr olds that didn't want to walk up so many stairs and let them talk me into driving closer to the house. I respect that the old cobblestones wouldn't survive with heavy traffic but the ZTL signs aren't always easy to see.

I've spent a lot of time trying to get these fines paid and still haven't succeeded.

I think Italy is over rated unless you like crowds and tourists. In spite of that, the locals are really nice and patient with all the tourists.

If you know you must enter a ZTL because a passenger has a mobility problem, a police officer can write a pass for you. This happened in Assisi when I sprained an ankle, my friend went to get the car and when he saw a police officer near the ZTL, he explained and they wrote a pass for him.

There are European bill payment services available online where they'll wire transfer a city funds for violations in Euros. They charge your credit card, and their service fees are quite reasonable.
