We are flying into Milan 8/9. We would like to hike and spend time outdoors. We want to go to Zermatt, Lake Como and St. Moritz.
Is this reasonable travel in 1 week's time?
Zermatt or Lake Como first?
suggestions for accommodations?

I would choose two locations rather than three to have enough time for hiking. Lake Como (Varenna) and St. Moritz combine well as you could take the Bernina Pass train route between the two.
If you really want to do all three, then allow only one night at Varenna. Milan to Zermatt by train, spend 3 nights. Glacier Express to St. Moritz ( pretty much all day on the train); spend 3 nights. Then Bernina train ( not necessarily the named Bernina Express) to Tirano and change there to an Italian train to Varenna. Spend your last night there. The train journey back to MIlan is only one hour 6 minutes.
