Zefiro Home Roma Review

Can anyone please offer a review of Zefiro Home Roma in Rome? My wife and I may reserve a room there in Oct 2019. Online reviews look good. Thanks

Doubt this will help you, but I'm staying there in February. I'd be happy to let you know my thoughts after that. Perhaps someone else will come along who has already stayed there. As you noted, the online reviews are very good.

OK, I'll be sure to take some good notes! If there is anything specific you're interested in, just let me know. BTW, my travel dates in Rome are 02/25-03/04.

I'm back, and would recommend this B&B. I was in the standard double/twin room, which is room 5. There are only 5 rooms total, which all open into a small reception area. The 2 superior rooms and the small double room are a bit farther away from the reception desk. The entrance to my room was right behind the reception desk, and just outside my window was the walkway that leads from the entrance of the B&B to the elevator. Not ideal, but since there are only 4 other rooms, there was not a lot of foot traffic or noise. There is a small entry hall in this room, so that does isolate the bed area from being right near the door. You will hear them sweeping the walkway in the morning outside your window.

Place is really kept clean--even under the beds and nooks and crannies were clean. Room was a good size. There are plenty of easily accessible electrical outlets--2 each on either side of the bed, one other by the table and one in the bathroom. Breakfast served in room at a time you tell them the day before, and was always served promptly. They somewhat tailor breakfast to what you request. I had cereal and yogurt, meat, cheese, bread/jam and assorted pastries. I declined eggs. Served with orange juice and coffee. All was tasty.

Bed at first felt hard, but was comfortable to sleep on. Good storage space for luggage, and small area to hang a few clothing items. Good wifi--decent speed, never lost the signal. TV is Italian language only. There is a kettle for coffee/tea in the room, and they keep a large supply of very tasty mints on the reception desk.

Room cleaned daily, turn-down in the evening, some of those tasty mints left on the bed.

Bathroom is a good size. Shower very good--plenty of hot water and good pressure.

The reception desk is not manned all the time, but the owners are a phone call away. He did find an optometrist that I found myself needing, which was very helpful. You are given a city map when you arrive, with some local highlights pointed out.

I loved the neighborhood! Tons of shops, restaurants, things to do. There are pedestrian-friendly streets all around. Can't stress this part enough--the area was great!

If there is anything I missed that you're curious about, just let me know and I'll try to answer.

Eric, thank you so much for the informative review. Your tips are very helpful. Sounds like you made the right choice with the Zefiro Home. I hope you enjoyed your trip. We stayed in the Monti District 2 years ago and agree it is a quaint and nice area of Rome. Be well
