Hi, I viewed the you tube video of the Bus trip to Anacapri from a link given on this forum. It looked like the road is really zig zag.aAlmost looks like it can make you dizzy. Is this the only way to get to AnaCapri? After which, we plan to take the chairlift to Mt. Solarno.

Well, I saw people walking....... but I would really not recommend that :) There may also be stairs, but I can't even imagine what that would do to the knees. Being pretty afraid of heights, I just closed my eyes. I am very prone to motion sickness and didn't have a problem with that aspect of it, no dizziness, etc. the worst part is that the buses are small and fill up so you might have to stand and be squished in with a lot of other people so it's uncomfortable.

There are taxis which will take you up to Anacapri. That Capri link I gave has the info. http://www.capri.net/en/getting-around edit- I do not like the bus ride either but, touchwood, have not heard of any accidents!

If you have problem with bus to Anacapri. The bus from Sorrento to Amalfi maybe more problem for you too. It will be longer trip and more zig zag. I estimate that Capri to Anacapri is about 30 minutes. From Sorrento to Amalfi is about two hours.

Try to get a view, or even a partial view, out of the front window and pretend that you are driving the bus. That works for me because the changes in direction don't come as a surprise to my balance. I would think that closing your eyes would be the worst thing to do, a lot like being below decks on a rocking boat.

I'm not crazy about heights and tend to get a little vertigo, however, the bus ride from Capri to Anacapri wasn't bad (and I had to stand.) The views are wonderful. I don't remember it taking as long as 30 minutes, but I could be wrong. Defintiely worth the trip. Anacapiri was lovely. The only thing I regret is that I didn't take the chairlift to Mr. Solarno. My traveling companions had no interest in it and were anxious to get the ferry back to Sorrento.

I have a huge fear of heights and was not looking foward to this ride. I sat on the left side of the bus, looked out the front and it wasn't as bad as I expected. The ride was only 10-15 minutes. Just do it, the trip up the mountain is worth it. Have a great time.
