Your Favorite Hotel - Florence

Just tried booking my favorite hotel in Florence for a week next May and learned it is currently closed until “spring” with no bookings being accepted currently (bought out and being renovated).
So any recommendations for the city center?
Prefer quieter streets, historic buildings, under 300 Euro.
Prefer the activity of a hotel so no interest in appts, airb etc
This evening I guess I’ll watch the RS shows on Florence....

We really like Casa del Garbo which is on the Piazza Vecchio. You can find them online. Great location, comfortable interesting rooms.

I loved my stay this past spring at Hotel Loggiato dei Serviti. There was a Rick Steves Best of Italy tour group staying there during my time. Great location, older building but room was quite large and comfortable, and very quiet as its off a pedestrian only square.

I agree with Lynn above, PLUS the property is only a few blocks from the BEST gelato ever!

Thank you all for the great referrals. Greatly appreciated (In serious need of some away time in Florence and Rome).

I'll add another vote for Hotel Loggiato dei Serviti. We had three nights there on our 2017 VFR tour and loved it. We had a lovely, large room with view of the top of the Duomo. It's on a historic square and just a few blocks from the Duomo. We fell in love with Florence and wish we'd had more time there.

We liked Hotel Albani on Via Fiume, a quiet side street in Florence within a couple of blocks walking distance from the train station. The breakfast was wonderful, and we happened to get a room with a balcony on the inner courtyard. Hotel Albani was an easy walk to the Duomo and the Accademia as well as the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi and the lovely squares in Florence.
