Second week of our stay in Italy is with a yoga group. It will be less of a hassle to get our mats and other supplies after we arrive, instead of carrying them around for a week. I appreciate any suggestions on where to purchase them. We are staying at the two locations below, so hopefully some place close to one of them.

I'm not too familiar with yoga. But what kind of supplies do you need other than a mat?
I don't know if the mat has to be of a particular type. If it's the same type I use at the gym to stretch, you can find them at any sports equipment store. In Florence I know several, but considering where you are, you can probably find something at the Galleria dello Sport (one store in on via Ricasoli) or at Universo Sport, which is next to the Duomo (across the street of the northern side). I don't remember others in the city center, since I usually go closer to my neighborhood.
I'll let others suggest for Rome. We have a few Romans chiming in this forum sometimes.
David, you can email RYOGA, http://www.ryoga.com/en/whereweare.htm, a Yoga facility that is less than a 10min. walk from, Vicolo del Bologna 29, and find out where they recommend to go. They may even sell what you need.
