Yet another traffic ticket question

I received a notification from Hertz in Dec. 2019 that I exceeded the speed limit while driving to Verona in Sept.
I was charged an administrative fee by Hertz and was told I would be sent a ticket by Firenze Autostrade. I've never received this ticket. Hertz has no record of the violation, and told me they can't help me. I verified this on-line (ithertz.com) and have spoken directly with Hertz twice. My problem or question: I have rented another vehicle from Hertz this June in Milan for a vacation in Piedmonte. Am I going to be in trouble with the Italian authorities over the unpaid ticket while I'm there?
Thanks for any input you may have.

No, most likely not.
You never received the ticket and there is no record of it.

If you are NOT an EU citizen, the statute of limitations expires in 360 days. In other words, they have 1 year to post a registered letter from the day they received your name and address from Hertz.

Did you move after December 2019? Did you trash 2 registered letters from Italy after December 2019? If not, there is no unpaid fine to be worried about.
Very likely Firenze autostrade had other issues than posting fines to countries outside the EU. The Italian lockdown begun in March 2020 and they knew that many fines sent to non EU offenders go unpaid even in normal times.

I see no reason to speak with Hertz again, cops ask rental companies who was driving one of their cars on that day. Once Hertz has replied, their role is over and cops would never give info about a fine registered to a private citizen.

Thanks so much for the replies, especially Dario's. I'm not going to worry any more and just look forward to our visit to our favorite country.
