Sorry if this info is out there, I haven't been able to find this answer in my searches though... I have tickets to the underground tour which is at 9:40am; I want to see the "regular" colosseum first (the general entry), then do the underground tour. Is it possible to do that? If I just go at 8:30am (when they open) will I be able to walk around for 45 minutes or so, then just go to the meeting place for the underground tour? I know this is a specific question, just wondering if anyone has done it that way (we have to be somewhere at noon, so we can't do it the other way around that day). Thanks as always! tory
If you already have entry tickets or bought them online or at the same time you booked the under ground tour or are using a romapass for entry then you should be fine. There is no reason for you not to be able to get there when the colosseum opens and look around before your tour.
Yes, we'll have Roma passes. I assumed that the tour meeting place would be somewhere inside the regular admit area, but just wanted to double check.
Yes, it is. You'll be fine going early but just be at the gathering place for the tour about 15 minutes before it's due to start. Donna
thanks for your replies!
