We will be in Malta and Sicily in the first few weeks in Jan. 2020. I am looking for local guides for WWII history/sites on both islands. Any suggestions? Thanks

I suggest you contact the Tourist Information Office in Valletta, Malta, to start with. We saw a lot of WW2 sites in or near Valletta, including the underground rooms where the Allied invasion of Italy was planned.

If you visit Catania, there is an excellent WWII museum - Museo storico dello sbarco in Sicilia - 1943. And right next door is a Cinema Museum.
