Worth it to visit Attic if only take the elevator to 1&2?

Hello Travel Buffs: I posted a similar question weeks ago and received no replies, so am asking again: I have read about the Attic experience at the Coliseum and I have a couple of specific questions. The stairs to levels 3 and 4 sound a bit daunting. I am wondering if the views from the panoramic elevator offer much more than views available with only general admission to the Coliseum? Can we choose to go up (or part way up) level 3 and then back down if we decide the stairs are too much?
Thank you for any information you can provide. Cheers, Susan

I visited the Colosseum in October 2024 and had tickets for both the Attic Full Experience and the Underground Tour (on two different days). The Attic experience was incredible and one of the highlights of my trip.

I had the first time slot of the morning and was taken up early via the elevator. When I stepped out, I just stood there in awe. Seeing the Colosseum from that height really puts into perspective how massive it is. You can look down over the entire arena and out across the structure in a way you simply can’t with general admission. For about 20 minutes, it was just me and two staff members up there, which made it feel even more surreal. I stayed up there for about an hour and could look down at the crowds filling in the arena below me and only a small number of people in the attic. It was truly a special moment to add to my travel memories.

I pulled up my photos to check the stairs and counted 15 steps to one of the upper levels. I’m not sure if the second set has the same number. Personally, I didn’t find them difficult at all. Since it isn’t a guided tour, you’re on your own up there, so if at any point it feels like too much, you can head back down, but I bet you will be just fine should you opt for this ticket.
