CAn anyone give me some leads as to good places to stay on a working farm in tuscany?
It depends on a few factors:
Will you have a car? A few agriturismos are within walking distance of a town with train service, but most places can only be accessed if you have a car.
What part of Tuscany do you want?
How many days will you be there? Most agriturismos only rent for 7 days at a time, and it must be Saturday-to-Saturday. A few allow stays of fewer days, but you have to look to find them.
Agriturismo Cretaiole near Pienza has an excellent reputation as a place where you live with a real farm family on a working farm, but they only rent for 7 full days at a time.
A couple of good places to search:
Thanks. This is helpful. We are looking for 7 days and possibly will have a car. Thanks again.
