The rental car must be returned in the 12:00 hour, near Milano Centrale. The flight leaves Malpensa at 22:10 bound for Dublin and a 12 hour layover.
We will:
Depart Cogne in VdA, no later than 8:45
return car, no later than 12:00 (aware that the return is on the 3rd floor (4th by americans) of the garage across the street from the rental office where I've never been
walk to Centrale
stash bags at the storage place
get M3 metro to Duomo.
Walk to and have 4-5 course lunch at Salsamenteria di Parma.
Walk back, tour Duomo, Duomo Rooftop, Vittorio Emanuelle II plaza. Have a gelato somewhere in there, walk the shopping district or tour La Scala.
Get the M3 back to Centrale
Get the Malpensa Expressa to Malpensa
Fly through security because we will be 3 hours early for our flight
Bounce around Malpensa T1 until we board our flight
Arrive in Dublin, check in to hotel, set alarm and collapse from a long day with many transfers.
Is this sane and doable at a relaxed pace?
