Winery Tours from Florence in November

My husband and I will be in Florence in November and are looking to do a winery tour on Monday, November 27th. I only include the day because we've found a few, but they are only available on certain days of the week and we will only be there on a Sunday and Monday. From previous posts I understand that the weather might not cooperate and renting a car might be a headache because of it. We're okay taking either a group tour or a private tour, but at a reasonable cost preferably less than $75/person. Any help is appreciated!

I think $75 per person is low. Last I knew, Tours by Roberto would take a tour out of Firenze, but he was about 90 Euro per person. TbR does a great job, by the way.

$75 seems a bit low for a wine tour, but I guess it depends exactly what you're looking for (how long, how many wineries, big bus vs small group, etc.).

My husband and I did the daily chianti tour with Todd at Tuscan Trails (http://www.tuscantrails.com/index.html) last year and loved it. It was the highlight of our 2 week trip in Italy -- small tour (less than 8 others with us), all-day leisurely pace, driving around the countryside, lunch at a local trattoria (with more wine!), and we visited 2 wineries, one of which also made great olive oil (got to taste and learn about this process too!). I realize this tour is more than $75, but wanted to throw the recommendation out there in case you run in to limited options (Todd's tours run daily, except Sundays).

We just returned from a four week trip to Italy. We did the toursbyroberto clay hills tour while in Florence. It was the highlight of our trip and well worth the cost! We went to an abbey, a medieval village, and a wonderful winery. The owners of the winery cooked us a fabulous lunch with wines and views of the Tuscan countryside. There were only six of us on the tour and we were the only people at the winery besides the family. Roberto has several choices for joinable tours but I am not sure of which days they run. Have a wonderful trip. This part of your trip is worth a splurge if you can swing it!

I've been in Florence multiple times in late November, and the weather has generally been cool but otherwise quite pleasant. Of course, there are no guarantees when it comes to weather. That said, unless you have a designated driver, it's probably best to do a tour so that everyone can enjoy the wine.

I also did the tours by Roberto, a week ago today actually. We chose the Chanti tour & it was fantastic. The pickup & drop off right at the hotel. The lunch was an extra €25, again extremely well worth it. Good luck! It was from 9 am to 4pm.
