We are visiting our son who is studying in Rome in March. We would like to do something outside the city but that is not too far from Rome. Any suggestions for fun day excursions? Thanks for any advice!
Not sure about a winery but the town of Tivoli to see Villa d'Este is wonderful. Or the town of Frascati, which is also the name of a wine.
We have booked with Old Frascati Food & Wine
I think I discovered them on this forum, can't remember exactly, but they get good reviews and my husband & I were intrigued. We booked the Classic Half Day Wine Tour, which includes a "tour" of the town wine tasting at their vineyard & a lunch in town.
We haven't gone on our trip yet so I can't attest to the company but you might want to check them out. They have a few videos too highlighting the day.
