Have any to recommend in the Montepuciano/ Chianti/ Tuscany areas?

We stayed in Montalcino last year and visited these 3 wineries. They are no further than 30 minutes away by car. They all have premium wines. We emailed them to book an appointment. They were all very welcoming and gave us good directions oh how to find them. The names of these wineries are: Col d'orcia, Castello Banfi and Poggio Antico. We also bought olive oil from Poggio and brought it home. It was delicious.I hope you get this info. before you go.

Try Volpaia - located in the heart of Chianti between Florence and Siena. The whole ancient village is the winery. We were there in October and we contacted the winery ahead of time and they even put together a tasting and dinner for us. It was fabulous. Plus there are many great restaurants nearby - in Lamole and Panzano. Have fun.
