We are traveling to Volterra August 16-20 and also a day trip to San Gimignano. I would like to visit a winery while there. Does anyone know of one near either of these towns, possibly one with a tour? Also, interested in any other sites or cheese factories, etc. near the area. Grazie!!

Megan, you probably already know this, but Volterra is known for its artisans. They have great brochures with maps pointing out their locations. We spent time visiting with goldsmiths, weavers, and sculptors during our time there. I'm not a shopper, but even I couldn't resist. Enjoy!
