We are spending 2 nights in Siena and would love to visit a winery. Any recommendations? Do we have to book a tour to visit or can we go on our own?

We went to a winery close by. It was a lot of fun. It was several hours including an Olive grove tour, the vineyards where Renato explained about the organic process for the vineyards. Then into the barrel room and onto a nice lunch with plenty of wine to taste. We took a cab to the vineyard then shared one on the way back with another couple. One woman was from our hometown! Anyway it was very enjoyable. This was through Air BnB experiences. I doubt you could just show up there Salud
