Does anyone have suggestions on wineries to visit in Umbria for a tasting and/or tour of the cellars/vineyards?
Umbria wine: Orvieto DOC and Orvieto Classico DOC are well known white wines of Umbria. You'll want to research the Etrusco-Roman wine trail, this will get you started in your research.
Here is a list of Umbrian wines and growing areas.

The best regarded wine comes from around Montefalco which is a town worth visiting in it's own right. Set up high with wonderful views up and down the Vale of Umbria and it's other hill towns.
Thanks for your help!
Tenuta Le Velette - near Orvieto. I went there with a Rick Steves tour. Cecelia, one of the daughters, is also a RS guide. Lovely view of Orvieto, the wine was even better.
